Kujataa, UNESCO World Heritage

Kujataa is the municipality-run organisation responsible for all operations for
"Kujataa Greenland: Norse and Inuit Farming at the Edge of the Ice Cap", the third and most recent place in Greenland to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site,
in 2017.
Just two in the entire office, the Site Manager and Park Ranger have worked hard in the initial years to document and benchmark every Viking ruin and present-day farm, to establish local museums in the component areas, interview key persons about the development of the Inuit agriculture tradition, and most recently to bring the thought-provoking millennium-old culture to life through art.

In summer, you will find authorised Site Guides at Qassiarsuk and Igaliku who can lead you on guided tours of the ruins, settlement and Kujataa Information Centers. Entrance fee payable upon entry.

This company has a valid Wilderness First Responder safety certificate.
