Over the last many years, the indescribably talented multi-media inuk artist Heidi Zilmer has passed on her artistic knowledge and passion to create something big - literally and figuratively - to youth in three towns throughout South Greenland. She did this all while finding her own South Greenlandic roots again and just letting every art session be one huge growth process for everyone involved.
SANASA Art Route
Nanortalik, Narsaq and Qaqortoq are now home to handfuls of larger than life street art projects designed and created entirely by local youth and their own imaginations - of course with the tutelage of Heidi and other hand-selected inuit and international artists like Bolatta Silis-Høegh, Konrad Nuka Godtfredsen and Pascale Amblard.
Please enjoy this brand new website which describes the entire SANASA project and highlights all the individual murals created in the three towns which now ultimately create the SANASA Art Route in its entirety.
