Waterfall Retreat is a private house rental at Qorlortorsuaq, the hydropower station. The area was formerly a sheep farm with several families on the property, but today the couple Tiipu and Ortooraq live there alone. The peacefulness is astounding, and the namesake waterfall is always present - always able to be seen and heard.
The Retreat house sleeps 5 in total.
One room can be configured with either two single beds, or one double bed.
Another room has a set of bunk beds (2 single beds).
There is also a sleeper futon in the living room which can be used for an additional guest.
There is a bathroom and shower with running water in the house,
and the kitchen is fully-equipped.
The whole area is a vast make-your-own-adventure zone. The lake that feeds into the dam and hydropower plant is vast, welcoming people for an afternoon of kayaking and seeing the landscape up close from 'water' level. There is also the possibility to walk through the nature to high hills and down to the river to try your hand at fishing for Arctic char.
